Not great. Left side of two page menu unavailable, parts of dishes from right side unavailable too , like white fish. Informed only after making choices. It was very cold and with rain and cold outside it made grim atmosphere. Service is extremely slow.

I hadn't been to Bodega for at least 5 years but I was disappointed in this recent visit. I used to think it was exceptional and don't know why I hadn't been for so long but now I have a reason to not visit again. The food was poor and took a long time to come but we did clear our plates because we were hungry. It looked like the whole meal was put together in a panic, for example, the nachos came with random ingredients and not much cheese, no guacamole or sour cream. I had to ask where our food was before it came out and then was told that what we had ordered wasn't available after at least 45 minutes after ordering. The service wasn't awful but just didn't make us feel that they cared, our waiter seemed more disappointed that we asked for the service charge to be removed rather than why we weren't overly happy. We were also told that the kitchen made no prep so that's the reason for our food not being spot on but didn't feel like we got an apology as such. It may have just been an off day but there are so many other good places in Birmingham so will avoid Bodega in future.

My wife and I travelled to Birmingham for a day out and went to bodega for lunch, we got a lovely welcome when we walked in and got seated straight away. The Burger Parrilla was lovely, My wife said her cocktails were very nice. A very nice little restaurant 👌

This is not what it used to be. Food was dreadful. Fake sour cream and guacamole, luke warm burrito and small portions. Not even the tortillas were freshly made. Such a shame, was our fave 😢

Had an evening meal here. Was quiet to begin with but quickly busied up.
The house sharing nachos was really tasty, generous portion size.
The saltado and curry main courses were again good portion sizes. Staff were really helpful and attentive too.

Went there with my friend last night during happy hour! I have to say these are the best punchy cocktails I've had in Birmngham for a while. We had raspberry and then passionfruit cachasas. We also had the margaritas. My oh my! Totally recommend. Our waiter was so lovely and he even let us order the last round one min before the end of happy hour! Really enjoyed everything about this place and I'm defiantly coming back.

Went in for a lunch which was delicious and service was really good and quick. Can’t comment too much on atmosphere sorry as it was quite quiet when we went in but it was clean and pleasant. Would return!

Nachos & beef brisket was great and filling.
It was my first time to try Tacos with Beetroot, tastes a bit sour, beef is better than chicken & prawns.

Every time I make a stop in Birmingham I try and visit Bodega's cantina. I’ve been about 5x now and the food is delicious; the cocktails are fantastic too. Friendly attentive staff with a lovely atmosphere.

I do not usually complain about food when I go out but came here on a quietish friday night and have to say I was very disappointed. The beef casadias where very greasy, the chicken tacos were rather flavourless and the choziro in the burrito was disgusting. I dont know how chorizo can be messed that badly but it was mushed up and gristly. The skin on fries that first came out where rock solid so sent them back for new ones which were completely different fries - not sure how the first ones came like they did. Service however was good and friendly and cocktails looked very appealing but in terms of food I was very disappointed and based on that will not be returning.

Had table booked yesterday for my daughter and self for lunch...waited 50 mins - it came, so overcooked and cold. My rice was not the rice I ordered and the food looked like it had stood for a long time! I asked for it to be removed, we were offered a other, however we couldn't wait another hour. I called the manager and he was very patronising, indicated that 'no one else had complained and we were offered a new plate! No apology just rudeness. We have never had service or food like this and love this place! So disappointed!

Great service, great food but rather quiet for Friday night. Dan was a great server and the food hot and tasty. Just needed more pizazz and atmosphere.
